the beginning of something

here is the start to my painting.
this is the beginning of something--
a new style i'm trying to cultivate and make my own.

the beginning of something...
a phrase that i see becoming a reoccurring pattern in these near days.
i must admit...
i really hit the bottom this year.
now, i'm trying to make new choices that will make things feel
fresh, new, and resolved.

the first step:
changing my major.
